TuneTrace Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 22, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to TuneTrace / 拾曲 ("TuneTrace", "we", "us", or "the App"), including audio recording, audio import, segmentation, song identification, local library management, playlists, playback, feedback, and membership purchase features.
2. Information We Process
2.1 Audio Recordings, Imported Files, and Local Library Data
- When you record audio through the iOS ReplayKit broadcast panel or import an audio file, the App processes the audio file so it can be segmented, reviewed, edited, saved, and played locally.
- The App may store recording titles, source labels, segment ranges, waveform or analysis data, saved track metadata, playlist membership, playback progress, and related local identifiers.
- Saved tracks, source recordings, imported files, playlists, and library metadata are stored locally on your device, mainly in the App's local TuneTrace library directory and the shared ReplayKit recording container.
2.2 Song Identification and Artwork
- When you use song identification, the App may generate audio signatures or recognition requests from selected local audio segments and submit them through Apple's ShazamKit service to match song metadata.
- Recognition results may include title, artist, Shazam or Apple Music identifiers, artwork URL, web URL, ISRC, match attempts, and confidence-related metadata.
- Artwork images may be loaded from URLs returned by the recognition service. If you choose a custom cover from Photos, only the image you select is processed and saved for that track.
2.3 Settings, Membership, and Purchases
- The App may store recording settings, segmentation settings, playback preferences, sleep timer settings, library organization preferences, and other app settings locally.
- Membership purchases, subscription status, purchase restoration, and refund-related interactions are processed through Apple App Store and StoreKit.
- The App may validate App Store receipts with Apple in order to determine whether Premium features are available.
2.4 Feedback, Diagnostics, and Usage Data
- When you contact us, we may receive your email address, feedback text, screenshots, device model, iOS version, app version, issue description, and logs that you intentionally submit for troubleshooting.
- To improve the product experience, the App may collect usage and diagnostic information through Firebase Analytics, such as feature interactions, app version, device model, operating system version, session information, and non-content diagnostic events.
- We do not use analytics events to collect the content of your local recordings, imported audio files, saved tracks, or playlists.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide recording, importing, segmentation, waveform review, track saving, playlist management, playback, and search features.
- To identify songs, display matched metadata, load artwork, and let you correct or rename results.
- To maintain local library state, playback state, settings, and Premium entitlement state.
- To process purchases, restore purchases, validate receipts, and manage Premium access.
- To respond to support requests, diagnose issues, improve stability, and improve recognition and segmentation workflows.
- To protect app security, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable legal requirements.
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Storage Location
- Recordings, imported audio, saved songs, playlists, and most settings are stored locally on your device.
- ReplayKit recordings may be temporarily stored in the shared container used by the main App and its Broadcast Upload Extension before they are imported into the local library.
- Purchase records are handled by Apple. Analytics data is processed by Firebase Analytics according to Google's applicable policies.
4.2 Retention
- Local recordings, imported files, saved songs, playlists, custom covers, and settings remain on your device until you delete them in the App, remove the App, or the operating system removes app data.
- Feedback emails and submitted logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request and maintain support records.
- Subscription and transaction information follows Apple App Store retention and account policies.
4.3 Security Measures
- We use reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect information related to the App.
- Please protect your device, Apple ID, and local backups to prevent unauthorized access to local audio files and library data.
- No internet transmission or local storage method can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.
5. Third-Party Services
